The cherry blossom season, a special flower for Japanese people, is about to pass.
One of OKURADO’s most popular collections since the brand’s inception has been the “Cherry blossom” collection. In fact, the first jewelry OKURADO created was a hair ornament with a cherry blossom motif.

I chose cherry blossoms as my motif for two reasons.
The first reason is that as a Japanese jeweler, OKURADO, I wanted to create jewelry with the image of cherry blossoms, a flower that represents Japan. The delicate yet powerful petals, the luster of the blossoms when they bloom at once, and the beauty of their falling form.
I wanted to create Japanese jewelry that would evoke the delicate, powerful, and ephemeral nature of the cherry blossom in my mind.
The second reason is that I believe cherry blossoms are a flower with a special meaning. After a cold winter, the weather gradually warms up, and everyone in Japan waits for the blooming of the cherry blossoms. The buds swell up and the blossoms burst into full bloom. Everyone looks at the short-lived cherry blossoms and thinks about them in their own way.
From the changing nature of the cherry blossoms, we accept the idea that nature is in transition, that it is changing. We all carry in our hearts our feelings for the cherry blossoms, our feelings for the changing nature, and our feelings for the fact that everything changes.
The “Cherry Blossom” collection was started from the desire to make jewelry not only sparkle with the brilliance of gemstones, but also make the viewer feel the “feelings” of each person.
We hope that you will wear OKURADO ‘s “Cherry Blossom” jewelry, which shows the delicate and elegant sensibility of the Japanese people, and that it will also bring to your mind your own memories of cherry blossoms and the changing of the seasons.
